Morningstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: MORN), a leading provider of independent investment research, today announced key enhancements to Morningstar® Workstation, its comprehensive desktop platform for the calculation, benchmarking, and presentation of fund performance information.
Morningstar® Workstation provides investment professionals with global fund performance data and charting capabilities using more than 85 calculation options, 85 currencies, and 15,000 indexes. The enhancements enable presentation-ready fund performance charts that can be quickly and simply embedded into presentations, with the added and optional benefit of embedding underlying data that updates automatically each time the document is opened.
Enhancements also include the delivery of daily pricing updates across the entire data set included within the Morningstar Workstation platform; easy and immediate fund history drill-down features; and a market share module that shows shifts in funds’ assets under management.
“The enhanced charting capabilities are all about usability, efficiency, and more timely underlying data,” said Linda Gu, director of global institutional software for Morningstar. “Investment analysts, fund managers, and marketing professionals will be able to more quickly and accurately create charts that plot, compare, and communicate investment performance. We are confident that users will benefit from this enhanced capability and the time it saves.”
